BigTable Model with Cassandra and HBase Non-hand-waving explanation of Cassandra and HBase.

Has anyone tried to column of values approach where subjectIdentifier or subjectLocator is a set of values?

  1. A poster at TMRA 2010 presented a Topic Maps engine which uses HBase, see http://www.topicmapslab.de/publications/scaling_biomedical_topic_maps_to_billions_of_associations

  2. Did the poster presentation address their treatment of sets of subjectIdentifier or subjectLocator values? I looked at the summary but it is hard to tell from it exactly what is being done.

Extremely interesting but hard to form an opinion without more detail.

  4. Yes, well, I am going to write to ask for more details. Suspect it would be of general interest to the community. Will ask them to post something in a public location.
