  1. Just a call for participation: Arnim Bleier from the Topic Maps Lab will present a paper about SesameTM there. SesameTM is a Topic Maps engine which uses a triple store as backend. It is a full featured implementation of the TMAPI2.0 building on the TMDM ontology proposed by Cregan and uses the Sesame RDF framework for storing data. We hope to meet others on this conference on semantic technologies who are interested in bridging the RDF / Topic Maps gap.

  2. Lutz, thanks for note! Bridging data model gaps in general I think is the next big growth opportunity.

Eventually even the business and defense industries are going to realize they are caught in a perpetual trap of migration to the latest data model to “consolidate” all their data but the consolidation never happens. Because some are ahead, some behind, etc. It never gets any better.

Effectively bridging data gaps in place is the answer. (Did I hear someone mention topic maps?)
