Computational Information Design by Ben Fry develops what is required for information visualization.
Particularly relevant given the developer-driven designs/presentations I have seen.
I am sure the developers in question found them very intuitive.
Or at least I hope they did.
It be really sad to have an interface no one found intuitive.
Questions:
- Annotated bibliography of citations of Fry’s dissertation. Focus on what is interesting/useful about the citing material.
- For collection development, would it be helpful to have a graphic overview by publication date for the collection? What other graphics would you suggest? (3-5 pages, no citations)
- Annotated bibliography of ten (10) works on visualization of information.
